This summer we welcomed our first child. He was born at 29 weeks and spent 66 days in the Avera NICU. We are so grateful for the wonderful care he received there. Since arriving home, we have visited various specialists and dealt with some high blood pressure issues. I am happy to say that as of today, Edison is off of medications with normal blood pressure and a good looking heart. It has been a long journey and we are so thankful for all those who have supported and prayed for us. We love being parents and can't wait to watch our little man grow! Edison will be serving as my legislative aide in the fast approaching 2022 legislative session.
